Overview

Our client is a prominent Gas explorer, producer and supplier of Gas to the Australian domestic market. As part of the acquisition of an existing gas processing plant in the South West of Victoria, our Client required the tank that encompasses the flare to be replaced. Vecta were engaged to undertake the complete on site works, with the new flare tank being free issued.

Scope

  • Removal and disposal of existing tank, 12m diameter and 16m tall

  • Workshop verification of new tank

  • Installation of tank on site

  • QA / QC of site installation

  • Pre-commissioning and, commissioning of final unit

Delivery

Vecta Group self performed:

  • Demolition procedure, and Installation process inclusive of:

  • Work Pack Development

  • Isolation / LOTO

  • Safe Work Method Statement

  • JSEA

  • QA / QC scope

  • NDT requirements

Vecta self performed the work with skilled and experienced Staff, Supervision and Trade resources. Vecta engaged and managed all of the specialist subcontractors including cranes, insulation and cladding, surface treatment and NDT.

Outcomes

With over 3,500 man hours of site work required, and the risk associated with this type of work on a major hazard facility, Vecta are proud that the project was delivered for our client safely, on time and within budget.
