Gas Plant Upgrade
Overview
Our client is Australia’s biggest gas pipeline operator. Upon acquisition of an existing gas processing plant in the Gippsland region, our Client sought to invest in processing capacity to increase the plant throughput. Our scope included the supply, fabrication, installation and testing activities necessary to complete Project Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation (SMPEI) construction works package. Vecta reached practical completion of the scope of works in July, 2022.

Receipt and installation of packaged equipment inc. vessel, tanks , pumps and filtration units
85T Polishing Unit installation
100T of structural steel installation
Pipework install – CS, SS and HDPE
200+ pipe welds without a failure
Over 1,000m of pipework installed to a maximum size of 300nb S80
Over 10,000m of cable installation
Almost 1,000 core terminations
Delivery
With an onsite presence peaking of over 100 resources, Vecta self performed the following key roles:

Outcomes
Vecta, under aggressive timeframe constraints, successfully delivered all aspects of the project. Using parallel activity philosophies, Vecta was able to streamline traditional delivery techniques providing efficient resource utilisation to maximise outcomes.
A flawless Safety record, whilst working within an operating major hazard facility, underpinned the successful project outcomes.
